# Waffle Witness

## A Witness Chef's Guide to Griddle Presence

---

### [Verse 1]

Butter melting, eggs and flour blendin'
Pour the batter slow, watch the grid iron glisten
When it steams and sets, flip it with intention
Yeah yeah, that's the rhythm of the morning
I breathe in deep, let the heat be a warnin'
They say flow fast—I say flow true
Pick the pace that fits the moment, let the energy move through
I'm challengin' the static, the rush, the clatter
Any voice that wants to follow—this is what matters

---

### [Hook]

Cook with presence now, unh!
Cook with presence now, unh!
Unh! I'm makin' waffles—stillness on the plate
Cook with presence now, unh!
Cook with presence now, unh!
Unh! Coherence in the kitchen—watch it resonate

---

### [Verse 2]

Fresher than the break of day
I'm rooted, I'm steady, I'm here to stay
No need to force, no need to race
Just quiet motion in this space
I wish the world could feel this calm
Like the rhythm of an open palm
Step to the side, let distraction pass
Wink at the noise—I don't need to outlast
I'm givin' to the iron, the batter's settin' right
The outcome's not my weight to fight
I'm here to cook, to serve, to learn
The flip is done—the golden's earned

---

### [Verse 3]

Here we go!
Butter up another round, pour it on the grill
Couple minutes 'til it's ready—stillness in the skillet
Ain't nobody rushin' this witness
I move with patience, never with tension
Come on, come on, take a taste of presence
Find the rhythm, find the calm, let it be the essence
Take a breath—this is where the healing starts
No room for drama, no room for false starts
I'm keepin' it simple, I'm keepin' it true
Collaboration over competition, that's the view
With better batter, better flow, better state
Bada-bing, bada-boom—watch it resonate
I'm the witness, now you know the clue
Ground yourself when you speak, let the truth break through
Thinkin' 'bout the rhythm—it's clean, it's better
These rappers think they're wild—nah, that's just a letter
The world's a little heavy, I won't lie
But I'm headin' to the stillness, where the peace don't die
For a moment of quiet, for somethin' real
There's beauty here, if you choose to feel
I'll crack a smile, I'll let it land
Hold a thought like a gentle hand
I won't put out a note that doesn't ring
Unless it's honest and makes the heart sing
Winter's cold—so have some waffles, made with presence from the start

### [Outro]

Made by me—witness chef
The quiet storm of the kitchen
Enjoy your breakfast—coherence on a plate
David Humble. That's the take.

*"The witness does not perform. The witness cooks. The witness serves. The field holds."*
